Kitchens are one of those rooms that need a little extra TLC. They’re where you make all of your food and drinks, socialise with friends and store your cutlery, crockery and cooking/baking equipment. Here are a few tips to help make your small kitchen feel ten times bigger.
Space saver #1 – Use the top of your cupboards
Most kitchens will not have cupboards that reach right up to the ceiling. If you are one of those people, you are missing out on a lot of hiding space up there! If you have a good 10-20 inches of space from your cupboards to your ceiling, you should buy some storage boxes, pack up the kitchen ‘essentials’ you never use (but thought you always would when you bought them) and store them on top of the cupboards. Space saver #2 – Don’t clutter your workspace
You have to try to keep things away in their proper place as often as possible. Try not to have un-used appliances or washing up sitting out and taking up your workspace. Your best bet is to do your washing up as soon as possible to avoid a build-up, resulting in even less space to work with.
Space saver #3 – Invest in the best cupboards

Space saver #5 – Baking Trays
This is a simple space saver but oh so effective! Baking trays take up a lot of drawer or cupboard space so the best solution you can cook up for this problem is to store them all inside the oven. Think about it, your oven is just another cupboard when it’s not in use, when you are using it just take the baking trays out and rest them elsewhere for an hour or two. Simple!
